The Y-wing light bomber or BTL Y-wing starfighter was used by the Galactic Republic during the Galactic Civil War. It was taken out of service by the Galactic Empire but still in duty for the fleet of the Rebel Alliance. Bombers of this type are shown in the TV-series Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels and all the films of the Original Trilogy.
