Gunnery is a category of Commander Abilities used when playing a Rebellion in the Rim – Campaign to define a custom commander. Players can purchase abilities for commanders by spending an amount of experience points (XP).

Some abilities are Ranked with a roman numeral (I; II; III) in their name. Those are linked to abilities with the same name.

  • A commander must have the lower-tier version of a ranked ability to purchase the next rank of that ability.

* When a player purchases the next tier of a ranked ability, the higher-tier version replaces the lower-tier version.

Tier 1 Edit

Master Gunner I Edit

After fleets are deployed, you may gain 1 Icon Command ConcentrateFire token.

When you resolve a command by spending a Icon Command ConcentrateFire token only, you may treat that command as if you spent a command dial.

Cost: 3 XP

Ranked ability. Next tier is Master Gunner II.

Ambush Gunner I Edit

While you are attacking at distance 1-2 of an obstacle or friendly ship, your attacks cannot be obstructed.

Cost: 3 XP

Ranked ability. Next tier is Ambush Gunner II.

Tier 2 Edit

Master Gunner II Edit

After fleets are deployed, each friendly ship may gain 1 Icon Command ConcentrateFire token.

When a friendly ship resolves a Icon Command ConcentrateFire command by spending a Icon Command ConcentrateFire token only, that ship may treat that command as if it spent a command dial.

Cost: 3 XP

Ranked ability. Lower Tier is Master Gunner I. Next tier is Master Gunner III.

Ambush Gunner II Edit

While a friendly ship is attacking at distance 1-2 of an obstacle or friendly ship, its attacks cannot be obstructed.

Cost: 3 XP

Ranked ability. Lower Tier is Ambush Gunner I.

Ion Technician Edit

While a friendly ship is attacking, it may add 1 blue die to its attack pool. If it does, remove 1 die from attack pool.

Cost: 3 XP

Ordnance Expert Edit

While a friendly ship is attacking at short range, it may add 1 black die to its attack pool. If it does, remove 1 die from the attack pool.

Cost: 3 XP

Tier 3 Edit

Master Gunner III Edit

After fleets are deployed, each friendly ship may gain 1 Icon Command ConcentrateFire token.

When a friendly ship resolves a Icon Command ConcentrateFire command by spending a Icon Command ConcentrateFire token only, that ship may treat that command as if it spent a command dial.

When a friendly ship resolves the Icon Command ConcentrateFire command, if it spent a Icon Command ConcentrateFire dial, the die it adds to the attack pool may be of any color.

Cost: 4 XP

Ranked ability. Lower Tier is Master Gunner II.
