Class Specifics

Compared to the Modified Pelta-class Command Ship for 60 pts. the Assault Ship lacks 2 pt. Squadron, its front and side batteries consist of 2 black dice and 1 black die instead of blue, and it has 1 slot for Ordnance Upgrades instead of Offensive Retrofits.

Compared to the older Pelta-class variants for the Galactic Republic, the Rebel ships feature 1 additional blue or black die in the front batteries. They have both no slots Fleet Command but Fleet Support upgrade cards. The Assault Ship bears a slot for Ordnance upgrade cards instead of Defensive Retrofit, compared to the Transport Frigate.

Appearance

The Pelta-class frigate also known as the Republic medical frigate, was used by the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. The ships were to safely ferry injured clones to medical stations. During early rebellion against the Galactic Empire a repurposed Pelta-class frigate, named Phoenix Home, was used as a rebel capital ship.
