Saber Squadron was an elite TIE Interceptor unit and one of the squadrons of the 181st Imperial Fighter Group. It first appeared in 1997 in Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron: In the Empire's Service, written by Michael A. Stackpole, as an elite unit commanded by Baron Soontir Fel.
