Special Battery Armament

Rule[]

Some ships have a special battery armament, indicated by dice icons in an additional shaded armament box not associated with a shield value, and one or more special firing arcs, indicated by dashed lines and shaded areas on their ship tokens.

A ship’s special battery armament and special firing arcs are used only when performing ignition attacks.

A ship with a special battery armament has the ignition [Close] keyword.

A ship’s special battery armament is associated with each of its special firing arcs.

Each special firing arc is associated with the hull zone it is located in.

Rules Clarification[]

An attack performed with the special battery armament counts as an attack from the hull zone where the special firing arc is located in. It is not possible to perform a second attack with the standard armament of this hull zone until an upgrade card (e.g. Gunnery Team) or objective card (e.g. Advanced Gunnery) says otherwise.
